How Digital Wolf handles the information you choose to share.
Last updated: 24 August 2026
This website, https://thedigitalwolf.uk, is operated by Digital Wolf, a sole trader providing web design services in the United Kingdom.
I am committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and protected when you visit this website or contact me.
1. Who I am
Business name: Digital Wolf.
Status: Sole trader.
Website: https://thedigitalwolf.uk.
2. What personal data I collect
I may collect and process the following personal data:
- Your name;
- Your email address;
- Your phone number;
- Any information you provide when contacting me.
When a page loads, your IP address and browser details are used briefly, in memory, to produce an anonymised visitor count and to look up the approximate area the visit comes from (country and town, using a database held on this website's own server — no third-party service is contacted). The identifying details are not stored, and the anonymised code changes every day. This means I can see that "someone" visited and roughly where from, but not who, and I cannot recognise you from one day to the next.
I do not collect special category personal data (such as health or biometric data).
3. How your data is collected
Your data may be collected when you:
- Contact me via the contact form;
- Email or phone me directly;
- Use this website (through the privacy-preserving analytics described above).
Contact form submissions are also saved in a private database on this website's own server before the notification email is sent, so that a technical fault cannot lose your message. Those records are deleted automatically after six months, and sooner if you ask me to remove them.
4. How your data is used
Your personal data is used to:
- Respond to enquiries and messages;
- Provide quotes and services;
- Communicate with you about my services;
- Improve this website and user experience;
- Comply with legal obligations.
Your data is only used where there is a lawful basis to do so.
5. Lawful basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, I process personal data on the following lawful bases:
- Consent — when you contact me;
- Legitimate interests — to run and improve my business, including the privacy-preserving visitor statistics described above;
- Legal obligation — where required by law.
6. How your data is stored and protected
Appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, or disclosure.
Your data is stored securely and only retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected.
7. Sharing your data
I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
Your data may be shared with trusted third parties only where necessary, such as:
- Website hosting providers;
- Email service providers, to deliver enquiry notifications.
Website analytics are self-hosted on this website's own server: no analytics data is shared with third-party analytics providers.
All third parties are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with UK data protection laws.
8. Cookies
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. A strictly necessary session cookie is used only on the contact page while you send a message (it protects the form against abuse) and expires when you close your browser.
For more information, please see the Cookie Policy.
9. Your data protection rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data;
- Request correction of inaccurate data;
- Request deletion of your data;
- Object to or restrict processing;
- Withdraw consent at any time;
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): https://www.ico.org.uk/.
10. Third-party links
This website may contain links to third-party websites. I am not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
12. Contact
